Capt Mohamed AI Yahyaei, Chief Harbour Master, Corporate Authority, AD Ports Group

Delegate's Bio:
Mohamed Al Yahyaei is Chief Harbour Master in AD Ports Group, where the main function is to ensure implementation of applicable national and international maritime laws and regulations. He manages safely traffic of all vessels, all marine activities, and operations within Abu Dhabi Ports limits’ as per the regulatory requirements to remain competitive with the times in response to global shifts in maritime.
He is also the Member of the Waterfront Regulatory Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to a member of a committee to abandoned and violating ships removal at the country level.
With more than 12 years’ experience in field of maritime shipping, administrations, port marine management, services and HSSE experience, he has held several positions onboard vessels, including seagoing vessels and port services vessels. He has worked as marine pilot and an auditor amassed significant experience in the onshore and offshore industry.

Capt Subramaniam Kuruppiah, General Manager, Port Klang Authority

Delegate's Bio:
Captain K. Subramaniam began his career in the Merchant Marine in 1981 obtaining his Captaincy in 1992. He joined Port Klang Authority in 1994 as a Harbour Pilot and held several designations before being appointed the General Manager in 2016 becoming the 1st scholar sponsored by PKA to head the organization.
He is currently the President of the International Association of Ports & Harbours (IAPH), Advisory Board Member of APEC Port Services Network and Secretary General of Eastern Dredging Association EADA.

Mr Claes Sundmark, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Gothenburg Port Authority

Mr. Sundmark holds a bachelor’s degree of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Orebro in Sweden. He joined the Port of Gothenburg as Vice President & Sales Director in 2000. 2010 the Port of Gothenburg changed its structure from terminal operation into the traditional role of a Port Authority. Mr. Sundmark was than appointed to Vice President, Sales & Marketing at the new Gothenburg Port Authority. Prior to this he filled various positions at intermodal rail operators in Switzerland and Sweden.

Mr Eric Caris, Director of Cargo Marketing, Port of Los Angeles

Delegate's Bio:
As Director of Cargo Marketing for the Port of Los Angeles, Eric Caris is responsible for marketing, sales, and promotional programs designed to attract and retain shipping business to the Port. A significant activity involves the negotiation of container terminal leases in collaboration with the Cargo and Industrial Real Estate Division. On the efficiency side, Cargo Marketing plays an integral part of implementing the Port Optimizer™ program, which provides supply chain stakeholders with added visibility to the supply chain.
Caris played an active role in the research and development of the Port’s Alternative Maritime Power® (AMP®) program, a groundbreaking technology to reduce ship emissions, launched in 2004. Instead of burning diesel fuel while berthed, AMP ships “plug in” to shoreside electrical power, which results in the elimination of two tons of air emissions each day a ship is docked.

Mr Gu Jinshan, Chairman, Shanghai International Port Group

Gu Jinshan is Chairman of Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd (SIPG).
President of China Ports and Harbors Association. He served successively as Director General of Shanghai Water Resources Bureau (Shanghai Oceanic Administration), Director General of Shanghai Housing and Urban-Rural Development Administration Commission, and Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.

Mr Jens Meier, CEO, Hamburg Port Authority

Delegate's Bio:
Jens Meier has been CEO of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) since 2008. With more than 25 years of experience in the port, logistics, finance and IT sectors, the computer science graduate is a recognized leader in the maritime industry. His previous professional positions include board positions at Fiege Holding, the tts Group, Systematics AG (later EDS) or Soft-ware Design & Management AG (Ernst & Young Group). In May 2019, Jens Meier was elected Vice-President of the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), responsible for Europe, since the end of 2021 temporarily for Africa as well. Jens Meier is a frequent speaker with a large media outreach, in particular on future maritime affairs and in the area of digitalisation.
With regard to his voluntary commitment, Jens Meier is a founding board member of the Hamburger Informatik Forum e.V. (Hamburg Informatics Forum). He is also a member of several supervisory boards and boards of trustees. From 2015 to 2018 he served as president of Hamburger Sport Verein e.V. (HSV).

Mr Kang Joon-suk, Chief Executive Officer and President, Busan Port Authority

Mr Kang is the CEO & President of Busan Port Authority since September 2021. Prior to this, Mr Kang was the Vice Minister in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, President in the National Institute of Fisheries Science, Deputy Minister in the Fisheries Policy Office, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Director General of Maritime Affairs in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, USA.

Mr Kotaro Inoue, Director General for Coordination, Osaka Ports and Harbors Bureau, City of Osaka, Japan

Mr Inoue is currently the Director General for Coordination, Osaka Ports and Harbors Bureau, City of Osaka. Prior to this, Mr Inoue was the Director of General Affairs Division in the Public Health Bureau, City of Osaka. Mr Inoue also previously held positions as the Director of Planning Division in the Office of the Mayor, City of Osaka, Director for Dementia Policy and Community Comprehensive Care Promotion in the Social Welfare Bureau, City of Osaka.

Mr Lou Binzheng, Deputy Director of Ningbo Municipal Transport Bureau (Ningbo Municipal Port Administration Bureau)

Mr. Lou Binzheng is the Deputy Director General of Ningbo Port Administration Bureau. He was appointed to Ningbo Municipal Transport Bureau (Ningbo Port Administration Bureau) in November 2016, and is in charge of comprehensive transportation coordination, multimodal transportation, port administration, and shipping industry development, etc. He has been committed to the digital construction of ports, organizing and promoting the Port Goods Safety Supervision Application System to enhance the level of intrinsic safety in the whole port area. He actively promotes the upgrading of port and shipping logistics industry and the integrated development of port, city and industry.

Mr Luc Arnouts, Vice President International Relations and Networks, Port of Antwerp-Bruges

Delegate's Bio:
Mr. Luc Arnouts was born on November 26th 1962 and lives close to Antwerp, Belgium.
He is married and has three children.
He obtained a Master in Law at the University of Antwerp and a Master in General Management at the University of Ghent. He has been active in the port and logistics sector ever since.
He started his career and gained operational experience in stevedoring, warehousing and ocean freight forwarding at the logistics company Group Katoennatie from 1986 until 1992.
In 1992, he moved to SGS-Group Belgium where he officiated as General Manager of SGS-Van Bree. He was Member of the Central Management Committee and the Strategic Committee. He was in charge of the logistics and port handling business of SGS in Belgium.
Aviapartner, European leading airport handling company became his new employer in 2000, where he held the position of VP Cargo Handling Europe and was Member of the Central Board.
In 2007, he joined the Antwerp Port Authority as Chief Commercial Officer. Since mid 2017 he holds the function of Vice President International Relations and Networks.

Mr Matthijs van Doorn, Vice President Commercial, Port of Rotterdam Authority

Matthijs van Doorn is Vice President Commercial at the Port of Rotterdam Authority since 1 March 2022.
In this role, Matthijs is commercially responsible for containers, warehousing & distribution, breakbulk, logistics, dry & liquid bulk and port & maritime services. Customer engagement, stakeholder management and networking form an important element of the role as well as high level governmental contacts (local, national and international).
As non-executive member of the board of Port of Rotterdam, Matthijs is committed to the transformation of the port and industrial complex into the sustainable port of the future for the generations to come.
In the preceding seven years, Matthijs was responsible for developing the inland network as Director Logistics and built an extensive network in the logistics industry in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He was also involved in setting up the digital strategy and responsible for the digital portfolio of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
Before joining the Port of Rotterdam Authority Matthijs had worked in various commercial positions at TNT Express. Besides his knowledge of the logistics sector, his experience includes complex projects in digitisation, sales and supply chain optimisation.
Matthijs is internationally orientated. Apart from his career in an international business environment, Matthijs grew up in Germany and spent half a year living in Brazil.

Mr Noriaku Izuka, Executive Director of Construction and Maintenance Department, Port and Harbor Bureau, City of Yokohama

IZUKA Noriaki serves as the Executive Director of the Construction and Maintenance Department at the Port and Harbor Bureau, City of Yokohama. In April 2016, he assumed the role of Director of the Coastal Maintenance Division within the Construction and Maintenance Department. In April 2018, he became the Director of the First Construction Division, furthering his contributions to the city's port infrastructure. In April 2019, he was seconded to the Yokohama-Kawasaki International Port Corporation, broadening his scope to international port operations. Due to his dedication and expertise, he was appointed as the Executive Director of Construction and Maintenance Department, Port and Harbor Bureau, City of Yokohama in April 2023.

Mr Samuel McSkimming, Chief Executive Officer, Pilbara Ports Authority

Delegate's Bio:
Mr McSkimming was appointed CEO of Pilbara Ports Authority in May 2023. He has extensive experience in leading all aspects of multi-user bulk infrastructure, including in operations, marketing, commercial negotiation, and corporate affairs. Prior to joining Pilbara Ports, Mr McSkimming was in an executive general management role in bulk export railroads. Mr McSkimming has a background in competition law and regulatory economics, and has studied at Harvard Business School and the University of New South Wales, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Hons).

Mr Santiago Garcia-Milà, Deputy General Manager, Barcelona Port Authority

He is the Deputy General Manager of Innovation and Business Strategy of the Port of Barcelona; immediate Past President of International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH); he was ESPO (European Sea Ports Organisation) Chairman from 2012 to 2016, Chairman of the Port Governance Committee from 2016 to 2020, Chairman of Intermodal and Logistics Committee from 2008 to 2012 and member of the Executive Committee from 2008 to now; President of PortIC, the Barcelona’s Port Community System; Chief Executive Officer of tmZ, Zaragoza Inland Terminal; Associate lecturer in International Marketing at the University of Barcelona and was named economist of the year 2017 of the College of Economists of Catalunya.

Mr Sun Xiuqing, Director General, Guangzhou Port Authority

Mr. Sun Xiuqing received a master degree in International Journalism from Shanghai Foreign Studies University and an MPA degree from Harvard University. He joined Guangzhou Port Authority as Director General in 2021. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Development Zone, General Director of Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone Management Committee, and Deputy Secretary-General of Guangzhou Municipal Government. He has been in charge of international trade and economic cooperation, finance and economics, economic development, investment promotion and foreign exchange. He has rich experience in international trade and economic cooperation, investment promotion as well as in airport economic zone and port economic zone development.

Mr Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore

Delegate's Bio:
Mr Teo was appointed Chief Executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore from 5 September 2022. Prior to this, Mr Teo was Deputy Secretary (Policy) in the Ministry of Defence.
Mr Teo had served in various government agencies in the areas of Policy and Planning, Manpower, Strategy, Technology, Energy, Climate Change, Enterprise Services and International Trade. He was Special Assistant to then-Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean from 2016 to 2018.
He is a volunteer with SAFRA, an association looking after the needs of national servicemen.
He took up the Trade Development Board Scholarship in 1999 and obtained a Master’s in Chemical Engineering with a Year Abroad (First Class) from Imperial College London. He was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship in 2012 and graduated with a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Mr Teo attended the Eisenhower Fellowships Global Program in 2022.
For his contributions to Public Service, Mr Teo was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2021.
