What is PAR?
Port Authorities Roundtable (PAR) is a by-invitation event for CEO/Chairman/President/DG of leading port authorities. PAR was initiated and inaugurated by MPA in 2015 with the aim to facilitate the exchange of ideas and learn best practices. It allows port authorities to engage in open sharing and discussion to address issues of common interests and seek mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities in today’s evolving maritime landscape.
The inaugural PAR was hosted by MPA in Singapore on 20 Apr 2015. The 2nd edition of PAR was hosted by the Port of Rotterdam Authority (PoR) from 22 to 24 June 2016 in Rotterdam. The 3rd edition of PAR was hosted by the Ningbo Municipal Administration Bureau from 9 to 11 July 2017. The 4th edition of PAR was hosted by the Port of Long Beach from 16 to 18 July 2018. The 5th edition of PAR was hosted by the Port of Kobe from 15 to 17 October 2019. Due to the on-going COVID-19 situation, the 6th edition PAR2020@Antwerp scheduled to be held from 16 to 17 March 2020 has been postponed to June 2021.
