About PAR COVID-19 Declaration

Recognising that the maritime sector plays a critical role in keep trade flows open in the global fight against COVID-19, 20 port authorities of the Port Authorities Roundtable from Asia, Europe and Middle East and North America declared their commitment on 24 April 2020 to working together to share best practices in ensuring that port operations can remain undisrupted.

An updated declaration was issued on 29 May 2020, with more than 50 port authorities across Asia, Oceania, Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas on board the declaration.
